Grateful- My Thanksgiving weekend in pictures!
At the risk of sounding cliche, I have so many things to be thankful for. The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful family, great friends, and as of Saturday night the best football team in the state of Florida.
I started off my Thanksgiving day by baking a delicious sweet potato pie with my Dad (a tradition that we have done since I was a little girl). My Mom set a beautiful table that, in my opinion, could have appeared in Southern Living. My Grandma and Granddad supplied the Thanksgiving meal necessities- turkey and dessert. I mean let's be honest, I could easily forego the vegetables and eat a healthy portion of turkey and pie and be completely satisfied. It was a lovely evening in which I saw family and friends that I don't get to see very often, ate entirely too much, and finished it off by waiting 5.5 hours in line at Wal-Mart to buy a laptop for Mom and Dad. Don't worry, they paid me to wait in line. 50 extra bucks in my pocket? Check! Could it get any better? Well Life Through a Lens readers (all two of you), since you asked, yes it could! On Saturday night, my beloved Florida State Seminoles put an absolute beat-down on the Florida Gators for the first time in 6 longgggg years. Redemption. Sweet Redemption. O How Sweet The Sound..
Hope y'all had a wonderful weekend with friends and family and realized how much we all have to be grateful for. Take care!
