Hey Friends,
Thought I'd share some impromptu photos I just snapped (literally, I just took them 2 minutes ago!).
I am sitting in my living room, attempting to add some last minute touches to an essay I've now been working on for what seems like weeks.
My mantle is decorated. The lights are shining.
Looking at it makes homework a little more bearable.
So, I thought I'd share a little bit of my Christmas Joy,
(as Paula says)
From my house to yours.

PS Photos like this are really fun and EASY to take!
Crank up your ISO as high as it will go (mine is set to 3600), set your shutter speed a bit slower (mine is at 1/30), and then open up your f-stop.
In a nut shell, overexpose!
Turn all the lights off in your house, except your Christmas lights of course,
set your camera on something steady (a tri-pod if you're fancy, or a couch if you're poor like me)
and snap away.
Have fun with it.
Take creative liberties.
These are messy photos!
Embrace the mess. :)

  1. These pictures are beautiful. I could see these framed in a grouping for decorating during the holidays. I really like the look of the bead garland you have wrapped around the green garland. Thanks for sharing your tips with us. I'm sure there are folks out there who have a clue what you are talking about...unlike me!
