Front Lawn Farewell.

Friends! Last Saturday, I attended a farewell fiesta for a lovely couple who I have been so blessed to have in my life. Here are some photos from the day:
A grand time was had by all!

P.S. If you haven't already checked out Smitten Design, you really should. Ashley Cortese, the very talented woman who hosted this little party (weren't those table decorations gorgeous??) has a keen eye for design and a great blog. Trust me, it's worth the visit!

Imperfection.

Compared to the clean lines and simplicity of my last post, this photo is a little off.
(Not to mention the completely different season, setting, etc)
Some photography teacher would probably tell me to increase my shutter speed or use a tripod or maybe just stand still (I took this through the window of a moving car).
But something about this picture is mesmerizing to me.
Maybe it's the subtle pops of color: the purple window trim, the teal flag, the red hat, the yellow street sign.
Maybe it's the architectural contrast.
Maybe it's the sense of motion.
Maybe it's all of the above.
Who knows, but something about this photo makes me want to hop out of bed, pull on my bean boots and join that woman- out of Z Fabrics and down the street, where maybe we would get a cup of coffee and a scone.

P.S. It's spring time, I know. We'll return to that tomorrow.
Goodnight Bloggers,
C.

Every beach trip needs an ice cream stop.
Windblown, but beautiful.

Peace.

It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work.
It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

Official.

It's wedding season in my family. Maybe more like engagement season.
My cousin and his fiance were engaged over Christmas break and were so sweet to ask me to take their engagement photos!
So we headed out to Jackie's grandfather's farm, on a cloudy winter day..half expecting the pictures to be as dull as the sky.
But as soon as we got out there, I realized how perfect the day actually was.

We had friends.

Aren't they precious?

Both Jonathan & Jackie and Shawn and MM (Remember These??) mainly wanted to use the photos for their Save the Dates. So a few weeks ago, I was thrilled to receive the finished products in the mail. What a joy it is to see my work printed! I am so grateful to the lovely couples for giving me such a wonderful opportunity! Thanks y'all.

They mailed one to each one of my roommates. How cute :)

I feel official.
