History Making History.

My big brother and his gorgeous fiance got hitched last weekend.
Friday night, my mom and dad threw a grand rehearsal dinner.
It was held at a historic home near downtown Tallahassee.
We had Creole food, bluegrass music, mint juleps, and kroquet (to name a few).

One thing that was really important to my brother was that all of his friends and family were in attendance. So, my focus for this set of photos was the guests. I really wanted you (my blog friends!) to get a feel for the event by seeing the people that were there.
Let me know what you think!

Hope you enjoyed them!
It really was a fun evening. :)

  1. Wow Carolyn! I just looked at all your rehearsal dinner photos! They are truly captured the event, family & friends! You are doing so good...I am a fan !

  2. Mrs. Simon, thank you so much for your support and kind words! I love that you visit my blog :)

  3. These pictures are really good. What a fun night!

  4. Carolyn - these pictures are wonderful! I especially like the one of your Grandad; he looks like so dashing! I would love to have you do some photos of my girls when we come to Crystal River some time. You have an amazing talent for capturing people!

  5. I happened to stumble upon your blog and looked through your pictures. And I feel as if I am part of your family and that I was there with you all. You have a talent for capturing the moment. Don't ever stop taking pictures.

  6. Shay, thank you for your comment! The picture of Grandad is my favorite too (great minds think alike!). I would love to take some pictures of your sweet girls next time y'all are in town. Just let me know :)

Anon, SO glad you found my blog! Feel free to stick around and experience life with me (and my family). Also, thank you for your warm words. They mean more than you know.

  7. Big fan of this post. My favorites in this order are: b/w little girl, old man by stairs, red dress and seer sucker couple facing away, blonde on stairs, and blonde singer.

Love the portraits in this post. Such great lighting and texture. Very warm feel. Not sure if that was you, the temp, or the people's affection for each other.
